Crop Progress Report July 3
I have been watching the Climate Pro software this year to track precipitation and Temprature. In addition the Pro feature allows me to monitor scouting maps and vegetation maps that are taken periodically by satallite. This image was taken July 3. The area on the East end is where we are conduting the Nitrogen research. Some rows were side dressed an additional 50N.

Crop Progress Report June 8
It's a bit more challenging to get to the plot with Highway 71 under construction. You can get there by either 430th St or 420th St. These are both gravel roads. Go around the baricades and travel towrds the plot entrance. Watch for the construction trucks, they have the right-of-way.
The corn and soybeans are all growing well. The corn was sidedressed on June 2. I have flagged the side-dressed passes in the research area. I also flagged the narrow rows in the beans on th each end. I have ordered both sides to get post applications of herbicides, hopefully this week.

Soybeans planted May 13, 2015
The Clay County Growers have successfully planted the Plot for 2015. Now it's up to mother nature and the genetics from all the seed compnaies to produce a great crop. The corn was planted on May 1 and the soybeans on May 13. The soil conditions were very good. We could use some heat from here on out as it has been somewhat cool.

The corn was planted on Friday May 1 after a rain delay tried to derail our efforts. Many thanks to the volunteers who were able to help. www.facebook.com/procropllc/post/900525983352748

Clay County Grower's Plot "Under New Management"
After many years as the plot manager Dave Hessman has made the decision that it was time to pursue other interests. However that does not mean the plot and the great work we have accomplished in the past is ending. Sam Harper, of Pro-Crop Farm Management & Consulting has agreed to take over the management duties of the plot. We would like to thank Dave for his years of service and wish him well!
Hello! My name is Sam Harper. First, I want to thank you for reviewing our data over the years. The results for 2014 were mailed out in November and should be posted to the website soon. It was another challenging year with all the rain in early June but for the most part the entries performed well. We are planning on resuming the annual meeting again in 2015! Saty tuned for announcements during planting time to save the date.
